Riyadh – The 39th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) session will be held today in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saudi will chair the session which will focus on key issues, especially countering threats from the Tehran regime.
The GCC leaders will discuss means of bolstering Gulf integration and cooperation as well as achieving more progress and prosperity.
The summit will discuss a number of important issues pertaining to the GCC joint action, and the achievements so far made in the framework of the GCC integration and cooperation in the political, defense, economic and legal fields.
The leaders are expected to reiterate their determination to confront the Iranian blatant interference in Arab affairs and its efforts to destabilize Arab countries and circumvent US sanctions.
The ongoing war on terror and extremism, the Yemeni crisis and the peace talks being held in Stockholm after the success of the Coalition forces in the battle of Hodeida to push the Houthis to the negotiating table, as well as the repercussions of the Syrian crisis and the Palestinian issue are also expected will also featured on the agenda of the summit.
