UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan gave directives to allocate AED 18.4 million ($5) in urgent humanitarian relief aid to Syrian refugees in Lebanon to alleviate their winter hardships.
The Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Foundation will deliver the urgent aid, which is part of the UAE extensive humanitarian efforts to help relieve displaced Syrians’ ordeal in Lebanon, especially during the winter season.
The lifeline will reach the most impoverished families scattered throughout Lebanese territory.
Recently, successive storms have flooded Syrian refugee camps with rainwater, destroying tents, mattresses, food supplies, and much of what they own.
