AMA International School (AMAIS) has launched an anti-bullying campaign.
Bullying is still a major problem faced by children and adolescents around the world.
Because of this, one of the goals of every educator, parent, and student is to prevent bullying in schools.
There are many reasons why AMAIS is persistent about the anti-bullying campaign.
These include raising awareness among all members of the school community – students, parents and school staff – about the harm bullying causes and how children and young people can be protected. It also aims to reduce the number of incidents and impact of violence resulting in a safe and secure school environment where students learn without fear of being bullied.
In line with the campaign objectives, the AMAIS conducts an activity every term.
As part of these activities, a resource speaker is invited to discuss the topic, a poster-making competition is held with students in grades four, five and six, and an essay-writing competition about anti-bullying is conducted in the upper primary level.
This details just some of the many activities conducted by AMAIS in line with its anti-bullying campaign, to limit the number of cases or totally eradicate the issue.
