Muscat: Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah met Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who arrived on a three-day visit to Oman, according to Oman Observer.
Qureshi is leading a 12-member delegation of technical experts representing sectors of bilateral co-operation falling under the purview of the Joint Commission whose seventh session will be co-chaired by the two foreign ministers on Thursday (January 31), followed by the ‘signing ceremony’ of bilateral accords.
During his three-day visit, Qureshi will participate in a reception hosted by the Pakistani community.
The event will showcase colorful performances by a troupe and a band of 50 school children from Pakistan School Muscat and Beacon House representing the diverse cultural heritage.
A total of 750 guests have been invited for the occasion. More than 50 Pakistanis and Omanis as well as other nationalities will be presented certificates of appreciation for their contributions to Pakistan-Oman friendship.
