Even though Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has clarified his stance on the ‘intolerance row’, the public at large do not seem to find it satisfactory enough to let the actor focus on things he is perfect in.
After the Maharashtra-based Shiv Sena criticised Mr. Khan for what he said and announced a reward of Rs 100,000 for anyone who slaps the actor, the internet was abuzz with a website www.slapaamir.com where the online users get a chance to slap Aamir Khan virtually. The photo changes every time with each slap on the actor’s face. The website also featured a slap counter on the top-right corner letting users know how many people have delivered the slaps.
The website was created by a couple of students from the Miami Ad School.
However, following heavy criticism on the social media, the site was redirected to www.kissaamir.com. On this website, the slap has been replaced by kisses Aamir Khan’s face and the face changes every time the user delivers a kiss using the mouse click. It now displays the disclaimer, "kissaamir.com is for love and fun purposes only and represents kindness and kisses only. Please spread the tolerance of our love only... "
