THE organising committee of 2019 Bahrain Sports Day have stepped up their preparations with just two days left for the event.
Headed by Abdulrahman Sadeq Askar, the organising committee is putting the final touches for the sporting festival to be held on Tuesday at various designated areas around the kingdom.
General coordinator of the executive committee Fatima Al Sakran said all the standing committees have completed their preparations at the Sports Village, which will be the main venue for the festivities at Isa Sports City (the National Stadium).

Sporting events will also be held at the other three governorates.
Al Sakran said all interested citizens should submit their entries at www.sportsday.com or follow the Bahrain Olympic Committee social media accounts.
On her part, Northern Governorate representative Hayat Al Helaibi said her governorate has prepared a comprehensive programme that features sports and entertaining activities in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, the organising committee has allocated a dedicated area at Al Ramli Mall in A’ali to promote the Sports Day activities.
The facility welcomed children and adults alike to submit their entries for the ‘colour marathon’ event to be held at the main Sports Village at Isa Town Sports City.
It was an initiative of marketing committee chairman Mahmood Ashoori, who thanked Al Ramli Mall management for supporting his idea.
Also, as part of a move to promote the Sports Day, all ministries and public and private sector companies are urging their employees not to use the elevator up to the third floor a day prior to the event.
