A VARIETY of events will be held at Coda Jazz Lounge during Valentine’s weekend.
The weekend will begin with a tribute to George Michael tomorrow night. UK-based artist Lee Raymond will showcase his talent and likeness to the singer and producer who rose to fame as a member of Wham!
Fans can look forward to renditions of Faith, Bad Boys, Outside, and many more.
Also performing on the night is resident band The Jazkatz followed by DJ Damian.
Meanwhile, on Friday, popular local band the JackRabbit Slims will take to the stage accompanied by DJs Damian and Eve.

A date with Nayer...
American singer Nayer is set to perform in Bahrain tomorrow night. The talented star will perform as part of Valentine’s weekend celebrations. Nayer gained recognition in 2011 after being featured on Pitbull’s hit single Give Me Everything produced by Afrojack, and releasing her single Suave (Kiss Me) featuring Pitbull and Mohombi. IBIZA-BASED DJ Chris Damon is set to take the crowds by storm during Valentine’s weekend. He will be behind the decks at Cellar 59 tomorrow night showcasing the best House music fresh from the Balearics. Tribute to Beyonce
A TRIBUTE to international singing sensation Beyonce is set to take place this weekend.
Visiting all the way from the UK, talented singer Lauren will showcase her talent and beautiful voice with many of Beyonce’s biggest hits.
Lauren appeared on British television show The X Factor and made it all the way to the judges houses. Since then she has become a popular Beyonce tribute act and has been praised for her likeness vocally. She will be joined on the evening by residents DJ Aaron Wolf and Wildcard Band. Music kicks off at 5pm on Friday.

Production roles available for show
A PRODUCTION meeting will be held on Saturday for the upcoming show, the Beauty Queen of Leenane. The meeting offers anyone interested in being part of the production the opportunity to sign up for a variety of positions. Some of the roles available include producer, stage manager, stage designer, set painters and decorators, props, sound and lights, costumes, programme content, front of house and more. If you don’t have any prior experience, you will be paired with someone who has worked on a production before to show you the ropes. The Manama Theatre Club will share details of the roles and time commitments during the meeting, which begins at 4.30pm at the British Club, Adliya.
