Riyadh – Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saudi has arrived in China today for the third leg of his Asian tour which took him to Pakistan and India.
In an interview with Xinhua news agency Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih said that the two-day visit to China is expected to bring the bilateral relations to a new high.
During the visit, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Saudi Crown Prince, and Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng will co-chair the third meeting of the China-Saudi Arabia High-level Joint Committee.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1990, the ties between China and Saudi Arabia have witnessed sustained and rapid development and were elevated to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2016.
“Saudi Arabia has been able to attract Chinese investment into projects such as the Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (Yasref) which has been making a decent profit consistently”, said the minister.
