Kuwait City: A Syrian businessman living in Kuwait has been arrested on charges of money laundering, according to Arab Times.
Police raided the headquarters of "Al-Hadaf" magazine and arrested Mazen Al Tarzi along with four assistants.
The businessman, known as Bashar Al Assad’s man, was led handcuffed as part of a police investigation, sources told Al Qabas.
Police searched the offices and confiscated computers, mobile phones and cameras during the operation which lasted three hours.
The businessmen is accused of laundering money for foreign parties and printing publications without authorisation.
A female secretary and two other assistants of the businessman have also been arrested over affiliation and collaboration with the Lebanese Hezbollah militia.
