A FREE screening of a classic Arabic film this weekend will feature 1963 Egyptian comedy Soft Hands.
The film by Mahmoud Zulfikar is based on a play of the same name by Egyptian playwright Tawfiq Al Hakim.
Starring Sabah and Ahmed Mazhar, the plot involves a formerly landed aristocrat dispossessed by the 1952 Egyptian revolution and a young unemployed academic who has just finished writing a doctoral thesis, both of whom must adjust to the social and political realities in a new socialist Egypt. The screening will be held tomorrow at the Bahrain Fort Museum, starting 7pm.
