Riyadh: A Saudi baby aged seven months, died on board a Saudi Arabian Airlines plane which was heading from Riyadh to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
A pediatric consultant who was also aboard flight 1037, tried for 12 minutes to revive the boy’s heart, which was diagnosed with a congenital deformity, but it was to no avail.
Sources told Arabic newspaper Sabq that the baby died about an hour before landing in Jeddah.
The body of the baby was then taken, on arrival, to King Fahd Hospital’s mortuary to finalise measures.
