Kuwait City: Kuwait Health Ministry has announced that private medical institutions will now be allowed to conduct one-day surgeries that require general anaesthesia provided they have the authorisation.
Regulations set by the ministry to conduct such surgeries include, nothing longer than two hours, no confinement required in an intensive care unit and no blood transfusion requirement, Al-Anba daily reported.
The patient's age should also not exceed 50 years, while body mass should not exceed 30.
The patient should also not suffer from chronic diseases which could make him vulnerable to Covid-19 complications.
