The Royal Endurance team has concluded its preparations for the Jordan International Endurance Championship which will take place tomorrow.
The event will feature two distances – 120km and 100km.
Following the instructions of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, young jockeys are taking part in the event as part of his keenness to prepare youngsters for future events, including for the World Youth Endurance Championship in Netherlands which will be held September.
Trainers Ahmed Janahi and Abdulrahman Al Sa’ad said that the team, backed by Shaikh Nasser, is ready to achieve outstanding results in the Jordan event.
Eighteen members of the team will take part in the 120km event, while three will participate in the 100km race. Two women will be representing the team, namely Shereen Mohammed and Esra Ahmed, both competing in the 120km race. They both expressed happiness at taking part in the competition, adding that they are ready and raring to go.
