A GROUP of Bahrain MPs has proposed a new law to criminalise promoting homosexuality. Submitted by Ahmed Al Ansari, Abdul Razzaq Hattab, Ali Zayed, Mohamed Buhmood and Fadhel Al Sawwad, the proposal calls for a jail sentence of no more than five years and a fine of between BD3,000-BD5,000, or any of these two to any person who raises a flag, logo or sign that symbolises homosexuality and to whoever promotes by any means the ideas and beliefs of homosexuals or calls for, organises or attends any gathering or meeting of homosexuals .
