Riyadh: A total of 636 patients have died since the outbreak of the Middle East respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in Saudi Arabia in 2012.
The health authorities have since diagnosed 1,525 people with the viral disease, 879 of whom have recovered while 10 others are still under treatment.
The Ministry of Health announced on its website that a Saudi man had died after contracting the virus in Buraidah while four others had been diagnosed with the disease in both Riyadh and Buraidah.
