The Texas teenagers who used a ‘fart spray’ in school, hospitalising six students, have been charged.
Caney Creek High School students David Navarrete-Arce (17) and Diego Flores (18) were arrested and charged with the possession of a prohibited weapon, which is a third-degree felony.
According to The Courier of Montgomery County, this leaves them open to a possible 10 years in prison.
This comes after one student confessed to bringing in the spray, which has been described by Carney Creek Fire and Rescue as “a highly concentrated prank, stink spray called Hensgaukt Fart Spray”
The arrest affidavit has revealed that security footage shows Navarrete-Arce walking with students who are shown to be “recoiling and covering their noses and mouths”.
The document says that “The video showed Navarrete-Arce appear to drop and pick up an item and shows the item in his hand appeared to be a small spray can.”
Upon being questioned by the police, Navarrete-Arce admitted to distributing the spray in several areas throughout the school before giving it to another student, whose name he refused to give to the authorities.
Both the boys have been released on a US$3,000 bond.
