A Saudi family has survived to tell the tale of their ordeal after getting stranded in the desert. They were found after several days of being adrift and getting stuck in the desert of Halban, 239km away from Riyadh and 50km from the nearest town.
They were left without food or water for days. They survived by drinking water from the car's radiator and eating leaves around the area.
Enjad, a Saudi non-profit association specialised in search and rescue missions in remote desert areas, set out to find the family with around 40 team members using advanced drones and mapping techniques.
After two days of searching, the family was eventually rescued when a drone camera spotted them.
