A suspected robber allegedly poured petrol on a teller in a currency exchange office, threatened to burn him and the entire branch down, and made away with a total of BD3,000 in cash, the court heard.
The man reportedly managed to escape, but only made it 10 metres from the door with a trail of banknotes behind him before being stopped by passers-by, who held him down until police arrived to arrest him .
