SHOOTING - The Bahrain national team achieved notable success at the Arab Shooting Championship held in Cairo from April 19 to May 1, winning several medals.
Moza Abdulraheem secured gold in the women’s 10m air pistol event and added silver to the women’s team event with Badria Al Atawi and Qamar Ali Khalifa.
The men’s team, comprising Ahmed Essam Al Sherawi, Mohammed Khalid Zaman, and Ahmed Sirajuddin, won bronze. Abdulraheem and Al Sherawi also took bronze in the 10m mixed team event.
In the men’s skeet (shotgun), the team of Hassan Majid, Tamar Ali, and Khalid Waleed won bronze and Tamar Ali bagged bronze.
Safa Al Dossary won silver in the women’s 10m air rifle and added team silver with Marwa Al Omairi and Fawziya Mousa. She also claimed bronze in the mixed team event with Khalid Al Dossary. In mixed team trap, Marwa Buarki and Saeed Hassan Ali secured bronze.
The results reflect the continued support of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, chairman of the Bahrain Shooting Federation.
