Riyadh: Saudi health authorities confirmed a total of 1,141 infected cases and five deaths related to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) yesterday.
This brings the overall death toll of the Kingdom to 114.
The Ministry of Health said that the new cases were reported in Makkah (315), Hafouf (240), Riyadh (164), Madinah (137), Jeddah (114), Dammam (61), Tabuk (35), Dhahran (26), Bisha (18), Taif (14), Kharj (3), Hail (2), Sabia (2), Al-Tawal (2), Qurayat (1), Al-Wajh (1), Sharoura (1), Al-Maznab(1), Al-Jafr (1), Oqlat Al-Saqoor (1), and Al-Hada (1).
Ministry spokesman Dr Mohammed Al-Abdulaali said that 12,772 people have so far tested positive for COVID-19, of whom 10,846 are active cases receiving medical care, while 82 are receiving intensive care.
The number of those who recovered yesterday were 172, bringing the Kingdom's total number of recoveries to 1812 cases.
