CRICKET – THE Interior Ministry cricket team clinched first place in the Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Cricket League, marking a sporting milestone that reflects their commitment to excellence.
Public Security Sports Association president Brigadier Khalid Abdulaziz Al Khayat congratulated Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa on the achievement.
He commended the Interior Minister’s continued support for the association, noting its role in enhancing team performance and readiness. This has been achieved through structured training plans, specialised qualification programmes, and dedicated preparatory camps.
He also highlighted the contribution of Public Security chief Major General Tariq Al Hassan. He commended his ongoing efforts to advance sports activities and closely monitor all local and international participation. These efforts have significantly contributed to the teams’ success in various championships.
Brigadier Al Khayat lauded the Ministry of Interior team for their discipline and outstanding performance throughout the tournament. He emphasised that these qualities were key to securing the championship title.
