His Majesty King Hamad yesterday ratified and issued Law (20) of 2025, introducing amendments to Law (18) of 2017 concerning alternative sanctions and measures, following approval by the Shura Council and Parliament.
The amendments introduced the expansion of the scope of alternative sanctions by adding new types of penalties, implementation procedures, and reassigned key responsibilities for oversight and enforcement .
