FOOTBALL – THE official Newcastle United supporters’ club in Bahrain has been launched, after recently gaining official status from the Premier League club.
Fans of the League Cup winners that reside in Bahrain are welcome to join the club and gain access to the many benefits that membership provides. The club has meet ups for every game which provides a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded fans and cheer on the Toon.
“We aim for this club to be more than just a football supporters club, we see it as a bridge that connects the city of Newcastle to the Kingdom of Bahrain and strengthens the links between people from both areas,” said Omar Abdulaziz, the club’s chairman.
Michael Houghton, the vice chair and treasurer, also stated: “As our football team finally begins to reach the heights we all dreamt of, we call on all Newcastle United fans on the island to join us in growing our club.”
