Queen Elizabeth II was once almost shot by one of her own guards, reported The Times.
Accordingt o the British newspaper, the Queen goes for midnight strolls when she cannot sleep at night.
During one such 3 a.m. walk, a guard thought she might be a prowler.
“Who’s that?” he called out, according to the Times Diary.
“Bloody hell, your majesty, I neearly shot you,” he said upon realising his mistake.
“That’s quite all right,” she answered. “Next time I’ll ring through beforehand so you don’t have to shoot me.”
It’s not reported where the incident was, or what happened to the guard.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
