BAHRAIN’s oil production could double following the major discovery of new reserves containing at least 80 billion barrels.
The country last year produced a daily average of 197,276 barrels of oil per day, but a new reservoir found in shallow waters off the southwest coast could potentially add another 200,000 barrels per day, Tatweer Petroleum chief executive officer James Kenneth Eastlack told the GDN .
