More than 700 undocumented Filipinos have legalised their stay in Bahrain in the last year by signing up for the flexi-work permit.
It is part of the financial assistance programme by the Philippines government under which it has directed its mission in Bahrain to pay the fees for the scheme, which allows successful candidates to work with multiple employers on a freelance basis .
