UAE-based real estate and hospitality company SKAI plans to copy the innovative design of its 60-storey Viceroy Dubai Jumeirah Village tower project and build similar structure in major cities across the globe, said a report.
The Dh1.37 billion ($372 million) tower, which boasts of 254 serviced apartments with private sky gardens and 247 hotels rooms, will be completed in late 2017, reported the Gulf Business News.
SKAI said it had patented the design and registered it in 186 countries after being awarded the ‘Tall Buildings’ prize at the 2016 MIPIM Future Projects Awards.
“Following on from the success of this design, SKAI now plans to replicate similar structures in other major cities across the world, the details of which we will be announcing in the not too distant future,” the chief executive Kabir Mulchandani was quoted as saying in the report.
The tower is strategically located in close proximity to three of Dubai’s arterial roads (Al Khail Road, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road (formerly Emirates Road) and Hessa Street) and a short drive from Dubai’s new Al Maktoum International Airport and Expo 2020 site.
The property will feature over half a million square feet of flora, balcony gardens and 271 swimming pools, it added.
