UNIVERSITY of Bahrain (UoB) teacher Amal Ateya Hassan shone in the second edition of the Kingdom’s Badminton Championship.
She won two gold medals in the singles and doubles’ competitions, organised by Al Qadisiya Youth Empowerment Centre.
UoB president Dr Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahki congratulated Hassan, who also bagged a gold medal during the Bahrain Sports Day in 2021.
Hassan is holder of a bachelor’s degree in interior design from UoB and a master’s degree from Britain’s Birmingham University.
She joined the teaching staff at the College of Engineering last January.
