Nawaf Yousef Mubarak claimed second place in the Spartan Salalah Championship in Oman, in which more than 800 athletes from the GCC participated.
Everyone managed to finish the 10km race, which consisted of 25 obstacles. Mubarak finished second in the age group of professionals (40-44) with a time of 1:17:27. He had finished third in the same championship held in Abu Dhabi, where he won the qualification card for the World Championship of Spartan Race last year.
Mubarak dedicated the achievement to His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, SCYS first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Bahrain Obstacles Course Racing Club president Shaikh Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ibrahim said that the success was a result of the continuous support of Shaikh Nasser and Shaikh Khalid to sport in Bahrain.
