The Industry and Commerce Ministry has announced a recall of certain Honda HR-V cars in Bahrain.
The Consumer Protection Directorate said Honda HR-Vs manufactured in 2022 will have to be recalled owing to an issue with the driver’s seat rail welding.
The ministry said the driver’s seat may not have sufficient welding due to an error from the supplier.
Owing to this, in the case of a collision the driver’s seat slide adjuster may come peeled off causing the seat belt to not be in the right position. This may cause harm to the occupant.
The driver’s seat components will have to be repaired and the front seat cushion replaced.
Car owners have been urged to contact National Motors Company to book an appointment for the repair.
