The 27th BBK Juniors Open Tennis Championships begin today at the Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) in Juffair under the patronage of BBK group chief executive Dr Abdulrahman Saif.
BTC president Khamis Al Muqla said that Bahrain’s longest-running juniors’ tennis tournament has been producing top national players for Bahrain and Saudi Arabia since 1996.
The event, which concludes on February 16, will see the participation of 210 players from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, France, Philippines and other countries, ready to showcase their skills in different age categories.
There will be a total of 15 matches on the opening day in 12 and under boys’ singles and 18 and under girls’ singles. Matches are scheduled to start at 4pm.
