Islamabad - King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) delivered on Monday the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's gift to Afghanistan, including 100 tons of dates.
The aid was delivered to the Afghan side-on behalf of KSrelief-by the acting Charge d'Affaires at the Saudi Embassy in Afghanistan, Mohammed Al-Shammari, a representative of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, Ghulam Hussam, and the KSrelief Director in Afghanistan, Fahad Al-Qahtani, in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
Al-Shammari stated that the aid comes as an extension of the relief and humanitarian efforts that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is carrying out through its humanitarian arm KSrelief to stand with the needy Afghan people.
For his part, Hussam extended his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for all the assistance provided to the Afghan people. He added: "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always stands with the Afghan people in all adversities and difficult circumstances, and it has a long history of the humanitarian situation, which the Afghan people will not forget, especially during the natural disasters that the country has witnessed, and during the difficult circumstances that Afghanistan is currently witnessing, especially since the food and non-food assistance provided by the KSrelief that came at the right time."
