GULF WEEKLY-
Fans of the franchise in different parts of the world, including Bahrain, have already watched the seventh instalment, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and have given it five-star ratings all around in terms of effects, acting and action sequences.
In fact, GDN’s movie reviewer Deviprasad Nair said the newest Mission Impossible movie featuring ‘edge-of-your-seat thrills, mind-bending set pieces, fantastic fight scenes and palpable stakes has raised the bar for all action movies’.
That is some high praise.
For those that haven’t watched the flick that is coming out in the US today, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the Impossible Missions Force (IMF) team (Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Rebecca Ferguson) must track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity if it falls into the wrong hands.
With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, a deadly race around the globe begins.
The team will be sharing the screen with newcomers including Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham, and Pom Klementieff. Long-time fans will also be delighted with the return of Henry Czerny’s former IMF director Eugene Kittridge, who we haven’t seen since the first Mission: Impossible film.
As for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, director Christopher McQuarrie confirms that the upcoming sequel won’t serve as the end of the franchise and teases what’s to come. It is set to to be released in cinemas on June 28, 2024, assuming there are no delays.
