His Majesty King Hamad has lauded the successful organisation of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), hosted by the UAE at Expo City Dubai, praising the facilities provided by the host country to ensure the success of the world event.
In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), His Majesty valued the initiative announced by UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to establish a $30 billion fund for global climate solutions, as well as the UAE’s investment of $100bn in climate action and renewable and clean energy, in addition to its commitment to investing an additional $130bn over the next seven years .
