Swimmers from the St Christopher’s School Sharks bagged more than 80 medals in a charity swim meet organised by the St Christopher’s swim team and held on the school campus in Saar.
More than 70 Sharks members took part in the eighth St Christopher’s School Charity Swim Gala, and their impressive medal haul included 30 gold, 26 silver, and 27 bronze medals.
The youngsters also achieved 159 new personal best times. The meet attracted over 330 participants representing 12 schools and clubs from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Organisers announced that it was the highest-ever attendance in a St Christopher’s School swim event, and it raised more than BD4,000 – the most money ever generated from St Christopher’s charity swim galas.
The record amount will all go towards charity organisations supported by St Christopher’s Infant and Junior schools.
