A rethink has been urged by the government on a proposed amendment to the 2014 Traffic Law, which seeks to extend the duration for paying fines for traffic violations from the current seven days to 30.
The draft legislation, originally based on a parliamentary proposal presented by Dr Ali Al Nuaimi, aims to ease financial burden on offenders while encouraging compliance with traffic fines .
