BASKETBALL – Riffa 3x3 Basketball has announced selection of first Bahraini player, Mohammed Kuwayed, to participate in the World Tour, which started in Japan last month and concludes in Bahrain in November.
Kuwayed has become the first Bahraini player to participate in the World Tour and his selection is cited as a proof of the Bahrain Basketball Association’s keenness to support local talent.
Kuwayed’s inclusion follows an intensive training camp held in Bahrain in April where he displayed high degree of competence.
Kuwayed is expected to start his new journey with the World Tour in Vienna, which will be held from June 13 to 15.
“I thank the technical staff and management for this confidence, and I seek to represent Bahrain in the best possible way and contribute to achieving positive results,” said Kuwayed.
He added: “Playing in this international event is a dream for any player, and I will do my best to benefit from this professional experience”.
Riffa are currently participating in the Marseille round and have started preparations for the upcoming Vienna round with all players looking forward to achieving a strong start that will strengthen their position.
