A man in Qalyubia, Egypt, fatally stabbed his father-in-law during an intervention where the family tried to get him to reconcile with his wife.
The victim, who was also the suspect's uncle, was stabbed in the chest during the mediation.
He was quickly rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Egyptian authorities promptly reached the scene and detained the suspect.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
