Bahrain are ready to fight for the full six points in their final two games of round three in Asian qualification for the Fifa World Cup 2026.
This was stressed today by the kingdom’s senior men’s football national team head coach Dragan Talajic. He was speaking during his pre-game Press conference ahead of their crunch clash with Saudi Arabia tomorrow night.
The contest will be the Bahrainis’ penultimate fixture in this stage of the continental qualifiers, and they will need maximum points to keep their Fifa World Cup dreams alive.
“This is a big game for both of us – our big brother is coming here also with full pressure like we are, and it will be a very difficult game,” said Talajic.
“We know our target is to take six points, and inshaallah we will do our job and everything will be in our hands. With six points, we will qualify for the next round.”
Tomorrow's match is scheduled for a 7pm kick-off at the National Stadium in Riffa.
Following this fixture, Bahrain wrap up this round of qualifying against China on Tuesday next week away.
