A warning has been issued urging people not to fall for an online scam after a ‘deep-fake’ video was posted on social media portraying a Bahrain minister supposedly promoting a get-rich-quick investment scheme.
The General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security said the post was created using artificial intelligence (AI) in a bid to promote a fraudulent business opportunity .
