BOWLING – BAHRAIN Club and Um Al Hassam are set to battle today in what is expected to be a tightly contested affair in the 10th round of the 2024-25 Bahrain Bowling League, being played at Funland Centre.
Both teams are amongst the current top three on the table, with Bahrain Club hoping to leapfrog current leaders Riffa, who are idle today.
Following the first nine play dates, Riffa and Bahrain Club are level on points with 64 apiece, but Riffa had a superior pinfalls total of 21,495 compared to Bahrain Club’s 21,220.
They each are coming off resounding victories from round nine, when Riffa beat Busaiteen 8-0 and Bahrain Club defeated Al Ettifaq 8-0.
Um Al Hassam will be aiming to narrow the gap to the top two. They are currently in third position with 56 points and a 20,651 pinfalls total. They too enjoyed an 8-0 result from the previous week’s action, when they faced Isa Town.
Elsewhere this evening at the same venue, Al Hala face off with Ettifaq, while Busaiteen will take on Isa Town.
Hala are fourth on the league standings with 26 points and 18,212 pinfalls, followed by Deaf Club with 22 points and 15,341. Isa Town are sixth with 16 and 18,919, Busatieen seventh on 15 and 16,584, and Ettifaq last with nine points and 18,705 pinfalls.
