THE driver allegedly responsible for the car crash in Saar, which killed a couple and their young son, will be tried before a criminal court, with the first hearing to take place on June 23.
The Public Prosecution said in a statement yesterday that the motorist was ‘drunk and had exceeded the speed limit’ as he unsuccessfully attempted to overtake another vehicle .
