The much-awaited GCC single tourist visa has been approved and will be rolled out soon, said UAE Economy Minister Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri.
“The single (GCC) tourist visa has been approved and waiting now to be implemented, hopefully, soon,” he told Khaleej Times newspaper.
“Now, it is with the interior Ministry and the relevant stakeholders and they should look into it.”
The GCC nations have been discussing rolling out a unified tourist visa, similar to the Schengen visa, for the past few years.
The new visa would allow tourists to visit all six members countries of the GCC on a single visa.
