VOLLEYBALL – BAHRAIN are fully ready to face Indonesia tonight in their concluding preliminary round fixture of the AVC Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup 2025, being hosted by the kingdom.
The kingdom’s senior men’s volleyball national team head coach Arnaud Josserand said that his side will go all out for the victory in order to advance to the tournament’s quarter-finals as Pool A winners.
He acknowledged that their opponents will pose a tough challenge, having seen them play for the first time yesterday in their thrilling five-set win against Thailand.
“We are now qualified for the quarter-finals, and this is the first thing, but we want to finish first because we are at home,” Josserand told the GDN last night.
“Indonesia are a really good team. They play fast on the wing, they have two good setters and two good opposites and good receivers.
“They are a solid team with a bench and a good rotation. It’s going to be a tough game tomorrow, but we are ready.”
Josserand, from France, is a former Olympian. He is in his first tournament in charge of Bahrain in this year’s AVC Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup.
