Riyadh: A Saudi Arabian Airlines plane hit a “big object” as it was landing at Cairo International Airport, on a flight from Saudi Arabia.
Cairo airport authorities set up a committee to inquire into the accident and monitor the necessary maintenance work.
The Saudi airlines canceled the return flight to ensure the maintenance of its plane, reported Akhbar 24.
Some of the passengers were provided hotel accommodation while others opted to take other flights to Saudi Arabia.
