Oman: Tropical Cyclone Kyarr, that has formed over the eastern Arabian Sea near the Indian coast could intensify into a Category 2 Cyclone in the coming days.
The latest weather forecast shows evidence of westerly to a north-westerly movement towards the central Arabian Sea.
The cyclone currently located around 350 kilometres away from the Indian coastline and around 1,350 kilometres away from the closest point to Oman at Ras Mudrakah.
According to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation said that the movement could intensify into a tropical cyclone (category 2) within the coming 24 hours with no direct impact over Oman’s coasts during the next 4 days.
