Dubai: A 26-year-old Filipina was murdered in her flat in England Cluster of International City in Dubai.
The father of the expatriate worker came to know about his daughter after pictures were circulated on Facebook saying she had been killed.
Eddie Oliverio, 45, a fisherman based in central Philippines, has sought help from authorities to locate his daughter who stopped responding to his calls and message after February 17.
“Lenlie was in touch with us on 17 February until 8pm. On 18 February, she did not respond to our messages. That was the last we heard from her,” Oliverio told Gulf News in a phone interview from the Philippines.
According to the father, Lenlie Silpao Oliverio went to Dubai four years ago to support her two kids, aged 10 and 5, and help her parents and seven siblings.
A Filipina, who works in an office in the same building, said, “The Filipina’s body was found but no one knows exactly what happened.”
In the meanwhile, Dubai Police has detained Lenlie’s ex-boyfriend, who said she was stabbed several times in her flat. Police are further investigating the case.
