The International Astronomy Centre in the UAE has released a statement announcing that the likely date for Eid-Al-Adha is July 20 in most Islamic nations.
Director of the International Astronomy Centre and respected engineer Muhammad Shawkat Odeh announced that the start of the Zul Hijja month in the Islamic calender based on the moon will be on July 10.
"Seeing the crescent on that day is possible using the telescope from the Arab countries and most of the continents of Africa and Europe. It is also possible to see it with the naked eye," said Shawkat Odeh.
