A Kuwaiti man was stabbed following an altercation with a young man who allegedly harassed his wife.
Police arrested the suspect after videos of the couple being attacked on a street in full public view went viral on social media.
Some news reports claim that the woman was also stabbed during the incident.
The suspect allegedly harassed the victim’s wife which resulted in a verbal altercation.
The situation then escalated into a fight, during which the suspect pulled out a knife and attacked the couple.
A security source said that the couple was immediately taken to a hospital and their condition is stable.
Police have registered a case of attempted murder and stabbing against the young man and allegedly found evidence of drug use on him.
