Naji Al Sameheeji won the National Day Tennis Tournament, organised by Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) as part of the National Day activities at its premises in Juffair on Saturday and yesterday.
Thirty-four players took part in the doubles matches which were played in a round robin format with interchange of partners.
Isa Al Sammak took the runners-up spot, with Ebrahim Qaed and Islam Abo Alam finishing third and fourth, respectively.
The presentation ceremony was attended by His Majesty King Hamad’s advisor for youth and sport affairs Saleh Isa bin Hindi, Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, BTC honorary president Dr Ali Fakhro, BTC president Khamis Al Muqla, Gulf Marcom – the sponsors - vice president Thamer Al Muqla among others.
